For the last couple of years, some of my projects have addressed the divisions that exist between Latinos and African- Americans in Los Angeles. My intent has never been to give a solution to the polemic but rather engage in a critical discussion. My previous projects have pointed to some mutual activity that reflects on either a shared practice or absorbs the acrimonious relationship between both tribes. Within "Black is Brown and Brown is Beautiful", I specifically focus on the prejudices  Latinos have towards African-Americans.
